About Me
My name is Gemma and I am a kind bubbly individual who has been working in childcare since 2014.
My highlight of childcare is working in a nursery, where I was room leader of the baby room. Creating fun and exciting activities for children is my passion, being creative helps me to learn more about what the child may be thinking or feeling.
In terms of discipline I believe in a firm but fair approach allowing children to understand the problem and how we can solve it together. A problem shared is a problem solved as I like to say! I have done courses on managing children's behaviour such as, behaviour for boys and the 10 golden rules.
I have worked in lots of different nursery’s and done lots of babysitting for a number of families.
I also have experience working nannying, I have been nannying for around 6 months now and looking for something slightly more permanent. I am available to work Monday to Friday however I am willing to take on a part time role as I do have a second job.
Looking to meet the perfect family that we can work together to ensure the best for your children and ensuring they hit those all important milestones and using the the EYFS as a framework to children’s development and learning needs!
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since 2014, I have worked in a number of different nursery’s and have experience with all age groups including babies. As well has being room leader of a baby room. I also do lots of babysitting on weekends for all ages as well as nannying.
My Qualifications
Level 3 qualified in early years education, Trained in managing children’s behaviour and EYFS (statutory framework for Early Years Education).
