My Experience

Hi, I'm Alaina. I'm 26 years old and a mom to a wonderful little boy who is 6. I hold a GCSE in Childcare, an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration, and I have recently completed a first aid training course, achieving the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF).

As the eldest of four girls, I’ve grown up helping to care for my younger sisters, including one with severe autism. While I may not have the most traditional childcare experience, being a mother and supporting my siblings over the years has given me valuable hands-on knowledge of P.I.L.E.S development (physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social). These experiences have taught me patience, understanding, and the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment.

As a babysitter or nanny, I will always make sure your child’s needs are met with care and attention. As a parent myself, I understand how busy life can be - so whether your little one needs help with homework, a meal prepared, someone to play and learn with, or even some light housekeeping done, I will take care of everything to the best of my ability.

My Qualifications

As mentioned above, I may not have all the formal qualifications you might be looking for, as I currently hold GCSEs, but I do have around five years of babysitting experience. Becoming a mpm myself has also given me invaluable hands-on knowledge and confidence in caring for children of different ages and needs. In addition to this, I have recently completed a first aid training course and achieved the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF), ensuring I can respond safely and effectively in any emergency situation.

My Availability

To be fully transparent, my ideal availability is:

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Every other Friday: 8:30am – late
I’m also able to assist on occasional weekends, depending on when my son is with his dad.

I am possibly looking to start a college course one day a week, but I want to prioritize parents’ needs and am happy to be flexible where possible. I’m comfortable with overnight stays, although I do have my own commitments, but I’m happy to discuss arrangements in more detail.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

Rates:

£10 per hour for one child
£5 per hour for each additional child

Full-day or overnight bookings: Discounted rates can be discussed to suit your family’s needs

I’m happy to be flexible and discuss arrangements to make sure it works for you and your children.
