Hello,
I have recently become a birth and postnatal doula, and as I begin to make connections in the birth world and offer that service, I am seeking some work for the summer.
From September until May 2023 I was an early years teaching assistant at a wonderful wild school called Tiny Wilds, near Tavistock. I was working with 2-5 year olds in a beautiful outdoor setting, where our days were spent being very creative, engaging with land around.
I have a wide range of background skills from gardening, illustrating, cooking and baking.
My Experience
Over the last 10 years, at different moments I have worked as a nanny and au-pair in the UK and Italy. I lived in Berlin for several years, where I worked part-time as a stand-in teaching assistant for a bilingual nursery school. In the summer of 2019 I worked with the nature based kids camp company called First Hand Experiences, where I led groups of children in nature based workshops.
In November 2019,UK I was a part time nanny/mother's help to a 7 month old boy (now toddler) in Dover. In taking care of this little one, I was responsible for putting him down for his daily naps, changing him, feeding and taking him out for walks. This role lasted for about 8 months, and stopped due to Covid-19, and the mother no longer needing help.
January 2021 I supported a mother with her todder twin girls, helping her return to work. My role included cooking for them, taking them on walks and being a lovely part of their lives.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Fine Art from Oxford University, as well as a range of Gcse's and A- Levels from Sir Roger Manwood's School in Sandwich. Level 3 early years.
My Availability
2 days a week.
