My name is Benny, I am a 21 year old female, whose English is fluent and I also speak a little bit of French (spoke fluently until I was 4 as my parents are from the Democratic Republic of Congo). I live in Kings Cross.
I am currently ‘finding myself.’
I attended uni for almost a year studying biomedical science and decided it wasn’t for me. Recently I went to India for a month, on a retreat as well as going to work with some amazing kids. I absolutely loved my trip and soon plan to travel to Congo soon as well as Ghana -where I plan to take a few things like pens, books and notebooks etc.
I would describe myself as caring, patient, a shoulder to lean on and attentive.
My Experience
I’d like to start off by saying I am the eldest of 7 siblings, an 18 year old, 17, 13, 11, 7 & 5 year old. Yes me and my youngest sibling have a 16 year gap. Being the eldest of siblings made me the strong, yet warm and sympathetic person I am today. I learnt to share at 3, be patient with a screaming baby at 4, make a bottle at 7 change nappies at 11. With all that being said the biggest thing I learnt was love unconditionally. My siblings in a sense made me mature much quicker than other girls my age. My siblings made me realise I want to do nothing but work with children. I hope when I’m ready I’ll be able to go back to uni and gain a degree to become either a paediatric nurse or a social worker.
I also have reliable and checkable references, as I was a nanny for two separate families in the past.
