My Requirements
Looking for childcare and/or private tutoring for my son who is in Reception but on reduced hours due to additional needs. He is autistic, verbal (though speech delayed) and very playful, outgoing, cheeky and affectionate once he gets to know you!
I am looking for home-based help, primarily during the afternoons, after he finishes his morning at school. I am particularly interested in someone who could do a bit more than look after him, and engage him in play and learning, but in a fun, child-led way (i.e. getting actively involved in playing with cars or play doh with him, rather than staying with him while he watches a movie).
The role would be ideal for someone with nursery or school experience, or who otherwise has an interest in child development and learning. Experience working with autistic children would be helpful but not essential, as the most important skill will be an ability for bond well with young children, and to make play and learning fun for them!
