My Summary

My Experience

I qualified in Early Years Education from Sheffield Hallam University in July 2010. I have experience running a Nursery class within a school, where I coordinated a team of 3 Nursery Nurses. I was responsible for the children's daily school needs and spent a lot of time making sure that the children felt safe and secure in my care.
I was a Full Time, Sole Charge Nanny to a 3 year old boy in London for 1 year until he started school. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this role, my daily duties included: dressing C, preparing meals, providing fun activities, arranging play-dates, toilet training, food shopping, general tidying of the home, bathing C and babysitting. We regularly visited museums such as the Natural History Museum and The Science Museum which offer brilliant learning opportunities for young children. The interactive sections play a vital role in C’s social development as he can play alongside other youngsters. We visited the local park for walks and to play ball games and climbing games which allowed C’s physical development to flourish.
I became a Family Support Worker within a Children's Centre. This was challenging but rewarding role. I managed a case load of families who had various issues with their children. These included: behaviour management, social and emotional development or the isolation of parents. I planned packages of work for each family and provided support and advice during my time with them.
I am currently a Sole Charge Nanny to a lively 2 year old girl and her 4 year old sister. We enjoy spending our days learning all about the world and what it has to offer. We regularly attend local groups and classes together, have fun in the park and create masterpieces at home.
