About Me
Hi I’m Chloe, I am an only child I’m 22 years old and I was born and raised in Bristol. Despite being an only child I was brought up surround by a big family. Family has always been something important to me, and I’m lucky to be very close with all my family members. ?Since leaving school in 2016 I went onto studying early years childcare as a apprenticeship in a nursery for 2 years where I gained my level 2 qualification. I worked in the baby room alongside my room leader which i throughly enjoyed. ?After that I went onto working abroad as a au pair in Spain for 3 months, sadly it was very short and sweet because of covid! My plans were to stay out there for 6months-1year but nonetheless it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone!. During my time in Spain I lived and worked as a nanny for a Spanish family. I looked after 3 children 8,5 and 3, my roles changed daily/weekly but regularly used to pick them up from school, play alongside them, take them to any after school clubs, go to the park/beach. I did also spend a lot of my weekend time/a short trip away with the family where it was more relaxed. ?I am now working for the nursery I first worked for as bank staff, so Im flexible work wise as I pick and choose when I’d like work. I’m now also qualified in beauty so I sometimes do this alongside my work. In the future I’d like to drop the bank position and become a nanny for a family as it would work really well around my beauty. ?I can be really flexible with my hours and can work some weekends too if needed. I feel a nanny position for me is best suited as you gain a really lovely close bond with the child/children whilst being alongside them and also the family too.
My Experience
Au pair- (working and living in Spain as a nanny for a Spanish family for 3 months cut short due to covid. Hours varied but around 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. I looked after 3 children 2 girls and a boy ages 3,5 & 7. My role’s varied daily/weekly too but mostly I picked the children up from school, took them to any after school clubs, went to the beach/park, had dinner together, bathed them and took them to sleep. Majority of my weekends I spent with the family too but this was more relaxing and I also went on a little trip with them too.
Baby sitting- ( I have baby sat for a lot of children I’ve looked after in my nursery. I look after a little girl who I used to look after who is now at school around 4/5 times a year on a Friday or Saturday for around 6/7 hours)
Baby sitting family- (I sometimes look after my little cousins after they finish school or overnight)
Nursery worker- (now that I am bank staff my role is slightly more relaxed as I don’t have to work Monday-Friday 40 hours a week, I’m technically self employed so I give them the hours I’d like to work on a weekly basis. I float between the toddler room and baby room, but this role mostly goes by a routine. Play alongside the children, help them with food, change there nappies, set up activities throughout the day, feedback to parents ect)
