I am an Ofsted registered Childminder. I'm newly registered as a childminder, having been a primary teacher for over 17 years.
I live near Totterdown, on the Ravenhill area, just along from Perrett’s Park.
My Experience
In my time as a primary teacher (over 17 years) I have taught the full range from Reception through to Year 6, have been a SENCo, Forest School Leader and Special Needs teacher.
I am excited about this next chapter in my career, to use my wealth of experience and skills to offer outstanding Early Years provision in which children thrive in a home setting.
I'm calling my provision Thrive n Jive Tots and it's a place where we will

My provision is holistic focused, following the children’s interests, informed from observations and from parents. We will be using the outdoors in our learning every day, dressing appropriately for the weather, and experiencing a rich and varied curriculum.
I support and enable comforting Emotional Literacy & Attachment - using the Zones of Regulation to help our little ones to navigate their emotions. I am experienced in supporting language development, and in promoting attachment and physical competency through dance and developmental movement play.
We will be making regular visits in our local community to The Northern Slopes, Arnos Vale, Windmill Hill City Farm, Victoria/Redcatch/Perrett’s parks and a termly bus/train trip to one of: Bristol Museum, the Aquarium, Severn Beach. I have a full driving licence, but use a triple stroller or double buggy.
Thrive n Jive Tots is a new small childminding setting near Totterdown Bristol.
We have a happy and relaxed home, with my one year old – who will be with me at Thrive n Jive Tots, and my Four and Seven year olds – who will join us after school. We also have one cat.
I endeavour to work closely with families to follow routines that their child may have, providing continuity of care and to help them feel safe, secure and confident to thrive.
