About Me
At Emma’s Little Explorers, I offer a home from home setting and provide a quality, safe and nurturing environment for children where they can learn, play, and build relationships.
I believe that access to outdoor space is essential for children’s development. In my garden, children are free to explore and discover and have fun learning through lots of open-ended and child-led play. As we all know, no two days are the same with children. For me, this is one of the best things about being a childminder. The day to day tasks that are part of this rewarding and enjoyable role include being a book reader, song singer, nose wiper, hug giver…. We could be playing chase around the garden or hide and seek, exploring what we can make with a variety of loose parts, investigating what happens when we pour water or making and baking. The list is endless!
I live with my husband and two daughters, aged 6 and 8. We also have a little Jack Russell cross dog. He is 16 years old and is good with children. His bed and refreshments are kept upstairs during childminding hours, however, he may join us on our adventures and walks at times.

I was previously a primary school teacher for over 12 years and am passionate about children’s learning and development.

My Availability
My hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm. Wednesday and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm I offer school drop off and pick up at Austhorpe Primary School.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
My hourly rate includes lunch and snacks for over 5 hours care. If care is provided for less time, then there is a £2 charge for lunch or parents provide a packed lunch.
