My Experience

TURLEY FARM SUMMER CAMP, OXFORD
July 2019 - Present
- I set up a residential yearly summer camp for children aged 6 - 12 years old. This year we have two groups of 14 children, fully immersed in fun and creative activities for the week, camping in bell tents.
- We try to balance the use of head, heart and hand through diverse activities, emphasising inclusivity. Activities include; bread making, sports, plant identification, flag making, wood carving, treasure hunts, obstacles courses and helping the children pick their own food from the farm and cook their own meals.
- We maintain good discipline, using a consistent approach with the children. My leadership team’s responsibilities include; making sure all the children are safe at all times, liaising with one another, working as part of a team and acting as role models for the children to look up to.

WORK PLACEMENT, MARIA MONTESSORI SCHOOL HAMPSTEAD
February to March 2021
- Worked in the Children House (3-6) where there were 37 children.
- Responsibilities included; giving presentations based on my observations of the children and as instructed by the lead teacher.
- Welcoming children in the cloakroom at the start of the day.
- Leading Grace and Courtesy groups based on children’s behaviours observed in the classroom.
- Overseeing the whole classroom, repairing conflicts, redirecting children and directing other adults to give appropriate presentations.
- Maintaining and preparing the environment.
- Leading home time groups; various language games, songs and reading stories.

NANNY, PRIVATE FAMILY, LONDON
2017 - 2019
- I was a live-in nanny who looked after 4 boys (6 months to 7 years old) for two summers over a 6 week period.
- This is a highly responsible job, involving a combination of creativity and discipline, organisation and forward planning.

AUPAIR, NINETONINE, MADRID
2017 - 2018
- I worked for a company called Ninetonine who allocated me to Spanish families around Madrid.
- Responsibilities included; teaching English as a new language, school pick ups using public transport, helping with dinner and bathtime, organising learning activities such as spelling, drawing and playing board games and reading bedtime stories.

VOLUNTEER, HAILEY PRIMARY SCHOOL, HAILEY
2015
- I volunteered at my local primary school, teaching P.E lessons.
- Responsibilities included; organising classes for around 12 children, running the classes and making sure everyone was engaged and safe.

2015 - 2019 Manchester Metropolitan University studied Business Management. Gained First-Class Honours Degree. Overseas Study Abroad Student in Madrid.
2007 - 2014 Headington School, Oxford - 3 A levels (Maths, Chemistry and Philosophy), 4 AS Levels and 12 GCSEs.
