About Me

I am an honest and warm person, currently looking for my next family to support with the upbringing of their children. Ideally, I am looking for short - term / temporary roles and or babysitting. I am a highly experienced child carer and have gained a vast amount of knowledge through my studies & previous positions. I have an interest in nutrition and cooking, I am a big fan of Turkish and mediterranean cusisine. I also enjoy going to the gym & being outdoors. I believe my previous roles have provided me with a wide & varied skill set. I have worked in a number of challenging positions which have demanded a high level of patience, compassion and professionalism. All of which I have adhered to with the highest of standards whilst maintaining a calm and collected disposition.

Recently, I have taken some time out and have been extremely fortuate to travel through Europe this was not only enjoyable but gave me vast knowledge of other cultures and traditions. Alongside this I have also participated in a number of running events on behalf of the charity Mind and have been fundraising on their behalf.
In 2020. I moved to London and had the pleasure of looking after a young girl who was 4.5 years old at the time. All nanny duties were expected and I spent just under 2 years with this family. It was a joy to support them with their needs and take care of their daughter.
From 2014 - 2020 I was living in Istanbul, Turkey. Initially I was a nanny to a large family. Their two young children were my sole responsibility. I worked closely with the mother and communication was key. The role required full discretion & confidentiality due to their high profile status. I worked with the family for a period of nine months as a nanny and continued with them later as a tutor. Following on from this I undertook multiple live out nanny positions with children aged from 2 to 8 years old. As in the previous role the main objective was for the children to learn English as a second language whilst providing a high standard of care and ensuring that their day to day needs were met.

During this time, I noticed that there was a high demand from parents who wanted their children to learn English. The market appeared to be saturated with a generic & inflexible approach to learning. I felt I had the experience and knowledge needed to deliver what would be a unique and special approach to learning English. I believed the way to achieve this was through "learning through play" and "independent learning". I did not wish to abandon my role as a nanny as it had been something that I had thoroughly enjoyed throughout. Therefore, I decided to incorporate the role of a nanny with that of a tutor, in a way that would allow me to expand and develop my own client base. Since April 2016 I have worked with over 70 children from the age of 6 months - 14 years. The majority of these placements have been for a minimum of 1 year or longer.
I am constantly looking for new and innovative ways to improve myself professionally and I truly believe that the learning process is endless. I am continuously researching and discovering the latest approaches to child development, especially Montessori & Forest schooling. I am a strong believer in Bandura's "social learning theory" and therefore this reflects in my approach to care and learning.

My career and studies have always been focused on children, education and care. Having worked with a number of young children, I feel I have gained a vast amount of experience in to understanding key developmental stages. It is now that I am looking to relocate back to the U.K. as I wish to be closer to family. I am hoping to find a role with longevity. I feel that I have a lot to offer for the right family. I am willing to update my first aid certificate and provide an-up-to date CRB / DBS. I am a patient & warm person. I believe it is important to set boundaries whilst still creating a nurturing and safe environment. Ensuring that the child's emotional well-being is focused on is a priority for me. It is important that he/she is treated with respect & listened to at all times.

I look forward to answering any questions that you may have.
