My Requirements

Babysitter
Part Time Nanny
Special Needs Experience

We need someone to look after our 5 year old autistic son for 9 hours a week and are willing to pay above the usual rate to secure the right person (e.g. up to 1.5 times normal rate, equivalent to 13-14 hours, the exact figure is negotiable). You will need to pick him up from Fleetville infants school at 12 noon and look after him for three hours (He’s currently in till 11.30am, but we are expecting this to change to 12 from early November.) Ideally Mon - Wed, but this is negotiable. We need someone as soon as possible. (School holiday hours are negotiable).

You would take him out to do fun activities eg Willows (we have membership), trampolining, etc. and drop him home at 3pm. You could do activities at our home on occasion, but not as a general rule as this means I have to make sure I’m out or he’ll want to be with me. (A car is essential).

It needs someone who is energetic, cheerful and outgoing, who is child centred and able to adapt to our son’s needs. Our son struggles in crowded places, especially around very young children. Experience with autistic children would be useful, but is not necessarily essential. He can be fun and relatively easy to look after if he is not overwhelmed and you avoid situations that trigger him.

He loves animals and anything with wheels (cars, diggers, trucks, tractors etc). He likes being outdoors, riding his bike in puddles in the rain, playing with his remote controlled cars, etc. He also likes Lego. He is not keen on books, drawing, colouring, etc.

If you think this might work for you then please let me know and I will DM you further information.

There is also the option of additional hours if you are interested in doing occasional hours at weekends (e.g. once every 1-2 months), but this is not essential.
