Hi there! My name is Elizabeth. I am 25 years old with lots of childcare experience. I have a very gentle approach to childcare. I believe strongly in making sure the child has a voice in all aspects of their life, and make sure they understand why some decisions have to be made for them. I hardly ever raise my voice (unless a child is in immediate danger) and much prefer talking an issue through with a child. I also love to teach through play, as it is one of the most important things to do when you are young!
I have always loved the outdoors and spent over a year of my life (in all seasons and weather!) working in a Forest School nursery for early years. Rain or shine we were out in the forest, learning through playing in the mud and using natural resources. Children definitely thrive in an environment like this and I would be more than happy to bring what I learnt during my time in the forest to my nannying.
My Experience
I am currently working at a forest school nursery based in Putney and occasionally work at Kew Gardens when I have the time!
When I worked as a nursery worker/educator at my previous nursery, I was working 40+ hours a week with children aged 1-5. My main responsibilities were nappy changes, food preparation and feeding, planning activities and carrying them out, toileting (this includes help with potty training), nap time, leading small walks and trips out of the nursery. I was also based in a forest school, so spent most of my working hours outside in any temperature!
As a nanny, I work with a few families and the children's ages range from 3-5. I take the children to various classes or appointments they may have, cook their lunch and dinner, I may pick them up from school if that is needed. I help with bathtime and bedtime and carry out activities during the day too.

My Qualifications
I have a cleared and current DBS check. I also have a current paediatric first aid qualification and a child protection qualification.
My Availability
I am avaliable Mon-Thurs after 3:30pm and Friday and weekends all day.
