About Me
I am a 22-year-old fourth-year student at Queen Margaret University studying education studies. I currently work as bank staff in a nursery caring for 0-5-year olds which is amazing experience but also allows me flexibility for my studies and for additional babysitting, which I love. I am paediatric first aid trained and PVG checked and I have a wealth of other childcare experience, from my year au pairing, working as a support worker, babysitting for families and events and placement with a charity for children with additional support needs and their families. Due to my degree I study child development, play, learning theories, outdoor learning and different pedagogies including Froebel and Montesssori,
My Experience
The majority of my experience and my passion is in allowing children to learn through play and acting as a facilitator for this rather than a guide but I also have experience in tuition for maths, English, science, history and French. I enjoy doing crafts, playing games, reading and taking children outdoors whenever possible.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying for a degree in Education Studies in Edinburgh. I am pediatric first aid trained and PVG certified.
My Availability
I am available most days of the week and I am extremely flexible. With most classes online this year I am able to work with the parents to support them however I can.
