About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher tutoring small groups in my classroom on Carlton Road.
I am enthusiastic, reliable and love learning. I have successfully tutored many children and am expanding to small group tutoring due to demand. My classes will focus on helping children catch up on the things they may have missed due to the pandemic as well as helping children progress in areas of the curriculum they struggle with. I incorporate lots of games and songs/rhyme in my teaching as I have found it helps children to retain knowledge as well as being a fun way of learning.
My classroom is a welcoming environment where children can feel comfortable and enjoy learning.
I am offering classes for up to 8 children per class in maths and English for years 3-6. I am also offering 11+ exam prep classes.
My Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher so I am very experienced in working with children. Most of my early teaching career has been in EYFS and KS1 so I well know the importance of play as well as formal learning. However, recently I have been focusing on working with KS2 children (particularly those with dyslexia and dyscalculia) helping them to close the academic gap left by the pandemic. I have been successful, not only in helping children progress, but also to enjoy learning.
My Qualifications
Primary Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status.
My Availability
I will be available to work until schools return in September.
