About Me
I am a qualified teacher with 10 years experience in primary, secondary and further education. I also have 4 children of my own and very experienced with younger children.
I am DBS registered, have PGCE and GTP. I have a mathematics background but also able to teach English and other subjects (to varying levels). Previously I have worked with children with a variety of different needs, and feel adept to teach any child.
My patience and individualized approach is what sets me apart from others, having worked in a vast range of different settings and having 3 children under 5 years, I have learnt how to deal with potentially difficult situations and ensure all children are safe, secure, nurtured and thriving in the best environment possible. I believe being out and about is as important for children's well being as at home learning, as younger children need to be given the freedom to have new experiences and enhance their understanding of the world.
I have up to date safeguarding training, health and safety and fire safety training. I am fully insured and have a car, I also have public liability insurance.
My Experience
I have taught in primary, secondary and further education. I have 4 children of my own, aged 13, 5, 4 and 2 years, so have experience with newborns and younger children. Before attending university I worked as a nanny for a family in London, looking after their 2 primary school children, and during my time at secondary school I spent time supervising in after school clubs for a nursery school.
