Hi there! We're a friendly family living in the vibrant coastal city of Plymouth, and we’re looking for a warm, imaginative, and experienced nanny(child care provider) to care for our two daughters, aged 4 and 6. They’re bright, giggly, and full of energy — and we’re hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys being around young children and can support their development in a loving, fun, and safe environment.

We’re very open to candidates from a variety of childcare backgrounds — you don’t need to have been a nanny specifically. If you have experience working with children in early years settings, schools, or other family environments, and you have a natural connection with little ones, we’d love to hear from you.

Both my partner and I work in the public sector, and like many working parents, our busiest times are **mornings and after school/early evenings**. If you're only available for wraparound care, that could work really well — but if you're looking for more hours, we’re open to offering up to **32 hours per week**, primarily around those core times.

### What we're looking for:

* Someone who can naturally connect with young children
* A nanny who can plan fun, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities that help the girls grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically
* Help with preparing their meals and snacks, and handling typical nursery duties
* Someone reliable, nurturing, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing

Our girls are fit, healthy, and have a great daily routine in place. We’ve set clear, positive boundaries and take a kind, respectful approach to behaviour and learning. We’re looking for someone long-term who we can trust and build a great relationship with — someone who’ll be a consistent, caring presence in our children’s lives.

### A bit about the practical side:

* We’re happy to discuss **annualised hours** if you're seeking a full-time role — this could include longer days during school holidays and fewer hours during term time, averaging out over the year
* A **driving licence is preferred**, as it would allow flexibility for drop-offs and pick-ups from after-school clubs and activities — though not essential if you’re a great fit
* You’ll need an **up-to-date Enhanced DBS check**, a **valid Paediatric First Aid certificate**, and references from previous childcare roles
* if you are not Ofsted registered then we would appreciate it if you are happy to register
* If you’re open to occasional evening babysitting or weekend hours now and then, that would be a lovely bonus (but not essential)
* If the exact hours don’t suit you, we’re happy to be flexible — the right person is what matters most
