Hi there! I’m Kathryn, a 23 year old Psychology graduate, and I offer bespoke nannying and babysitting for children of all ages in Dorset.
I took the year 20/21 out of University due to the pandemic and was working in childcare throughout that year as a Children’s SEN Carer, Babysitter and Nanny.
I have over 4 years experience in working with children from 6 weeks old to 15 years, and with special educational needs.
I am deeply passionate about assisting families with their childcare needs, crafting fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for kids, planning enjoyable days out, and being a being an individual who creates a nurturing atmosphere where the child feels both safe and happy in my presence.

My Experience
My experience is very varied, having worked as a Child Support Worker for children with disabilities, as a live-out Nanny, tutor and ad hoc babysitter. As you can see, many of my roles were not long term as they were completed within my year out from University (June 2020- September 2021) or during school holidays when I had returned home from University. I have currently been nannying full-time since June 2023.
At University I volunteered, working with vulnerable children (inside and outside of school) and adults with disabilities.

- Feeding, changing, bathing and keeping Five-year old Triplets with Level 5 Cerebral Palsy & Epilepsy from harm.
- Learnt how to use NG tubes and other specialist equipment and how to notice signs of seizures and what to do if this happened.
- I got to know each of the boys so well and learnt how best to interact with each one to keep feeding and bath times calmer and happier.

- Family on summer holiday, four children aged 4,6,9 & 11.
- Learnt how best to approach teaching with a variety of ages and personalities.

- Duties included dropping and collecting the sister (7) and brother (4) from school and looking after them both at home until a parent returned from work.

- Duties included dropping and collecting from school, cleaning the house, ironing, cooking, tutoring, and bathing the children.

CHILD SUPPORT WORKER

- Child support worker in a respite centre for children with different disabilities.
- Also worked on a summer holiday project with the charity where we would take the children out for activities each day.
- Feeding, changing, bathing, bedtime routines and keeping the children from harm were my main responsibilities, although adaptable care was required on days out.

- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
My standard rate is £15 an hour for one child during daytime, £18 for two children during daytime. £12-15 an hour for evenings (mostly asleep).
