Hi! I’m Themis, 39 - a warm, kind, and detail-oriented nanny/babysitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
I grew up in a big family full of cousins and siblings. As the oldest, I was always the one organising games, making up activities, and looking after the little ones. I love plants, cosy tea moments, drawing, colouring, and watching films (especially animations, The Emperor’s New Groove is a favourite!). I also love sailing.
I’m a hands-on nanny who enjoys getting involved in play rather than simply supervising. Whether it’s arts and crafts, imaginative games or just following a child’s interests, I love creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, confident, and heard.
I truly value working with families on a long-term basis, as it allows me to build a genuine bond with both the children and their parents, providing consistent and personalised care.
Whenever possible, I also like to arrange a short meet-and-greet before our first booking. It’s a lovely opportunity for us to get to know each other, for the children to feel comfortable, and for everyone to make sure we’re the right fit.

My Experience
Caring for little ones has always come naturally to me! I’ve been involved in childcare from a young age, starting with helping care for my baby brother.
Later, I had the joy of looking after a sweet girl on the autism spectrum, from infancy for a couple of years.
More recently, in 2020, I cared for two lovely siblings (15 months boy and 4 years old girl) for nearly two years on a regular, weekly basis. Followed by a fun-loving 4-year-old boy. Picking up from nursery/school, helping with the evening routine, bath time, getting everyone cozy in their pyjamas, settling them into bed, and overnight care. — always making time for gentle play and lots of smiles along the way.
Most recently, I supported a wonderful family with two very active children (an 11-months-old girl and a 6-year-old boy), both with special needs.
I truly adore the children I care for and build true connections with them!
I always work very attentively, especially with younger children.
I’m careful, very observant, and calm in my approach.

My Qualifications
Hello again!
Alongside my childcare experience, I have a strong academic background in science and healthcare. Both my Biomedical Sciences degree and my love for Neurosciences MSc and PhD-level research in the field) has given me a solid understanding of human development, health, communication, and the importance of providing safe, thoughtful, and compassionate care.
I have completed First Aid Level 2 (NHS – EduCare) as well as training with St John Ambulance.
I have also completed a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism, reflecting my genuine interest in neurodiversity and helping me better support children with different personalities, communication styles, and individual needs.
Families often describe me as patient, calm, reliable, and approachable. I naturally build trusting relationships with children by getting involved in their world - whether that’s playing, reading, being creative, helping with homework, or simply listening.
My goal is always to create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, respected, and confident to be themselves.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
SEN support / additional support needs: £18–£20 per hour.
Rates may vary based on age, routine complexity, level of responsibility and late evening hours.

We’ve been so lucky to have Themis in our lives. From the very beginning, she brought a calm, attentive, genuinely nurturing presence that made a huge difference to our family.
Themis has a rare ability to be both gentle and deeply attuned — she really sees children as individuals. My children felt safe, understood, and happy with her, which as a parent matters more than anything.
She’s thoughtful, reliable, emotionally intelligent, and wonderfully playful without ever being chaotic. There’s a steadiness to her care that builds trust quickly — not just with children, but with parents too.
I would recommend Themis without hesitation to any family looking for childcare that is loving, emotionally safe, and genuinely child-centred. She is a real gift.

Themis has provided care for my 2 children from the ages of 15 months and up to 5 years. She provided consistently reliable, fun-filled, responsible and highly attentive care for my children and she was a wonderful and valued addition to their 'village'. We were very fortunate to have had Themis with us for so long and would continue with her today (now aged 9 and 6) if we remained in the same city. Themis will be a highly valued asset to any family.
