Hello! I have extensive experience caring for children in the UK and internationally, with experience in educational settings. I am multilingual and speak Russian, conversational French, Italian and German and I hold NVQ Level 2 British Sign Language. I am happy to travel with your family if needed.
I understand the importance of being sensitive to the individual needs of the children I am caring for and their parents. I always learn the routines of the children I care for, the basic ground rules of their home and the specific needs of the children. I believe it is crucial that when I work as a child carer, I do not disrupt the routine in their home, so the transition from being cared for by their parents and by me is seamless for the children.
For the past 2 years, I have worked in tutoring roles, working with children from the age of 4.
My Experience
I have worked with children of all ages since I was 13 (15+ years). My experience includes working as an au pair for twin toddlers in Italy which was a live in role. Following this I worked as a teaching assistant in a school for children with special education needs in Tanzania. I currently work as a tutor for children in London, alongside running a non profit organisation part-time.
My experience working with children has helped me to develop my understanding of creating a fun and comfortable environment for children, whilst also ensuring strict ground rules and boundaries at all time, in this way the children feel safe and secure.
My Qualifications
I have Level 2 BSL (about to complete Level 3).
I have a Paediatric First Aid qualification.
