About Me
As a dedicated and experienced childminder, I provide a warm, welcoming, and home-from-home environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence. I am registered to care for up to 5 children, and with the support of my assistant, we can accommodate up to 7 children in total.
Our days are filled with a variety of fun, engaging, and educational activities designed to support each child’s individual development. From creative crafts and messy play to outdoor adventures and story time, I plan experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, and social skills.
We love to spend time outdoors, and regularly take part in Forest School–inspired activities, helping children connect with nature and develop confidence through exploration and play.
I maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and included. I carry out regular observations and maintain learning journals to track each child’s progress and celebrate their achievements, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Working closely with parents and families is very important to me. I believe in open communication and partnership, offering support with routines, transitions, and any specific needs to ensure consistency between home and my setting.
My goal is to create a caring, stimulating, and happy space where children thrive and parents have complete peace of mind.
My Experience
I have over five years of experience working in nurseries, where I developed a strong understanding of early years education and child development. After having my own children, who are now six and four years old, I was inspired to start my own career in childminding. I hold a Degree in Child Psychology and a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, along with up-to-date Safeguarding and Welfare training, a DBS check, and a Paediatric First Aid certificate.
My Qualifications
Level 3 qualified in childcare, Childcare Psychology degree. Safeguarding and welfare diploma.

I have availability for full time work childminding and babysitting.

- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour

Half day 08:00 to 12:30 £47

I would recommend Sonia to friends and family, or anyone who is looking for a capable, kind and calm child minder to look after their little ones. It have been over 1 year since my daughter is in Sonia s care and we had a very positive experience so far. My daughter likes Sonia a lot, speaks about her at home all the time and looks at her with admiration. My daughter has developed very nicely, made friends, has good cognitive progression and her communication skills improve by the day. Overall , we very happy with Sonia 😊

Sonia has a lovely environment for the children and has such a caring kind nature. As a mum herself I feel confident my children are being cared for in the way I would myself.

Our little boy joined Sonia just before his first Birthday and did between 3 and 5 days childcare with her until he was 3.5 - at which point he joined the nursery of the school he will go to next year. He loved his time at Sonias and he attention to detail and his happiness was evident - seeing him hug her goodbye saying 'I love you Sonia' is all the evidence a parent needs of an amazing environment. The arts, crafts, trips out, walks by the river (as well as his favourite - playtime in the garden all combined to make an amazing experience.
Even though he is now at school, he goes to Sonia on an ad-hoc basis when we need cover or support, and you can see the excitement when he finds out he's going to see her.
Couldn't recommend her enough - and happy to speak to any parents considering her.

My daughter has been assisting to Sonia’s since she was 10 months old, she’s 4yo
Now she’s over there every half term, because we know she will be in good loving hands with friends

I was thrilled to find that Sonia had a place for my son. She is such a lovely person and very good with children. She helped my son settling in with a lot of patience being warm and friendly. There are a variety of toys and activities that helped in development. It really is a home from home and my son enjoys being there ❤️

Sonia has been looking after our daughter coming up to a year now and has been great. She has provided a home away from home and has settled in so well. She is very convenient and accommodating for any last min request. Our daughter loves going to Sonia and we are at ease when our daughter is with Sonia.

my son has been with her for a year...he has learned a lot during this whole period...and he loves Sonia so much that on his days off he tells me that he misses her.... she is a real aunt! I recommend it from the bottom of my heart...it's the best choice for your child
