About Me

Hi! i have years of childcare experience under my belt that is a massive benefit to me when it comes to helping children thrive under my care.

My Experience

References available upon request.

April 2020 to September 2022
Nanny
• Within this role I was responsible for my employers’ twin 10 month olds’ and would support them through developing new skills such as walking and talking. It was my duty to stick to the parents’ pre-set routine as to not disrupt the flow of the household

• This role required me to be able to multi task and be able to manage my time effectively as my arriving late would mean that the either one of the parents’ would be late to their job.

• Whilst taking care of the twins it was always important for me to make sure I keep a journal of the day so I can share things with their parents to make them feel more included and involved in the care process as working parents can often feel like they are missing out on quality time with their children

January 2019 to October 2019
Nursery assistant
• During my time at stepping stones I was able to understand the importance of certain work ethics such as professionalism and responsibility. My main duty was to ensure each and every child was fully supported.

• Within this role I would be responsible for keeping the children safe and ensuring they had a productive day. I did this by ensuring there were always stimulating play activities out for the children to explore.

• Communication was of utmost importance as all employees would need to be up to date with any recent changes in the children's preferences, behaviours and most importantly allergies.

• Working within this role really helped me understand how it is to work in a setting where I was responsible for multiple children

Samera Kauser -Employer January 2018 to January 2019
Nanny
• Within this role I was responsible for assisting my employers’ visually and hearing impaired as well as hard of hearing siblings in taking care of her children. Although the busy work such as cleaning and cooking was my responsibility, when it came to bonding with the children my only job was assisting her siblings in doing so. Examples of this would be preparing the 8 month olds bottle, assisting either one of her siblings in positioning the baby safely before allowing them to feed the baby under my supervision incase of silent chocking.

• This was a very new experience for myself as I had more responsibilities than usual. Due to this I decided to plan my days better. I would do this by keeping a daily timetable and work within that.

• Many times I would not be able to follow the time table as kids can be very unexpected at times for example if they are ill or irritated that day. This would allow me to think on my feet and move things around. This would be especially difficult at times but I always made sure to prioritise each task and give my full attention to the kids.
