About Me
Hello, my names Amy and i am 22 years old. I have worked in many nursery’s, schools and play centres and have qualifications and degrees in childcare and early years practice. I’m a qualified childcare practitioner and I’m on my way to my teaching degree. This means as well as just taking care of your children, I can provide extra learning and support with school/homework if needed. I enjoy being creative and love bringing that into my childcare practice. I very much enjoy the outside and love taking the children i care for on adventures and letting them utilise what natural resources they have to play with, similar to the Forrest/Montessori style of learning. I dance and play football so love to keep fit and active.
My Experience
I have over 5 years of childcare experience ranging from schools and childcare centres to nurseries and support groups. My course at college and university had a compulsory placement 2 days a week where i tried new childcare settings and helped in many different ways. Alongside this i am also the eldest of 5 children and have had many years experience looking after them all whilst my parents worked full time. I have experience also with special needs children from working in a vast array of childcare settings whilst also having the experience in my household with my siblings having special needs too. I also have experience helping with household work and chores to help out day to day as well as caring for the children.
