My Experience

For the past 12 years I have been caring for children between 0 month and 8 years, on a sole-charge and educational orientated basis (teaching German naturally through play, songs, planned adventures etc.)
Working with children is my passion and I do believe that joy is the basis for all learning.
I easily bond with children and I genuinely enjoy things like singing songs, arts and crafts, reading stories, playing and creating games, visiting the park, playground or museum.
I am experienced with newborns and I am confident with up to 4 kids at a time.
I am reliable, kind, patient, conscientious, energetic, trustworthy, outgoing, creative, caring and consequent when necessary.
I represent a strict non-violent philosophy and I do not believe in forcing, threatening or pressuring kids. I much prefer being attuned to their individual personalities and emotional states and gain their cooperation through mirroring empathetic understanding and negotiating compromises that leave a child feel respected, autonomous and heard (whilst making sure their tasks and obligations are fulfilled).
I developed helpful skills during my previous years working with toddlers, such as teaching them emotional self - regulation skills through breathing exercises or awareness exercises, or teaching them how to evaluate the consequences for their own behaviour.
Furthermore I have an interest in developmental psychology and alternative education methods such as Montessori or Steiner-Waldorf.
