Hello there! I'm Lauren, your go-to, fun-loving, proactive babysitter/nanny located in central Chipping Norton, covering the surrounding areas. I offer regular nannying, as well as 'one-off' baby-sitting.

My educational journey began at Stroud High School For Girls, a prestigious grammar school in England, where I honed my academic prowess. I later became deputy head girl during my A Levels at Marling Grammar School. Currently, I'm pursuing my passion for Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University, with dreams of venturing into Land Acquisition/Buying in the future.
My diverse childcare experience spans across families of all backgrounds, including caring for vulnerable children, those with disabilities or learning difficulties, and even families with disabled parents. I've also volunteered at residential camps for young people with Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorders. Over the years, I've worked closely with children of all ages, from babysitting and nannying to being a summer camp counsellor for boys aged 4-16 at Camp Ojibwa in Wisconsin, USA. I've also looked after teenagers aged 13-18 while working for Oxford Royale, an elite summer school affiliated with The University of Oxford.
Not only am I tech-savvy with a Level 2 IT competency qualification (with an A grade, no less), but I'm also a well-rounded individual with a variety of hobbies. I dabble in creative writing (thanks to my involvement in the 'Write Now!' flagship scheme through the prestigious Cheltenham Literature Festival), love arts and crafts, enjoy whipping up delicious culinary creations, and thrive in the great outdoors, especially if it involves hiking, water sports, or snow activities. I'm also a fan of country pursuits like clay pigeon shooting.
Punctuality, professionalism, and responsibility are my middle names. I'm driven, organized, and always eager to roll up my sleeves and tackle any household task.
With a well-travelled background, having lived in Portugal, Panama, and the USA, I bring a worldly perspective to the table. I even ran a popular travel blog, catering to 'tweens' and young adults from 2014 to 2020.

My Experience
In terms of my experience, I possess a wide-ranging background that encompasses diverse family dynamics. This includes providing care for vulnerable children, those living with disabilities or learning difficulties, and collaborating with families where parents have disabilities. Additionally, I've dedicated my time to volunteering at residential camps, working closely with young individuals with Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorders. My Qualifications
While I do not have formal qualifications, I come with a lot of experience in childcare - seven years in fact! I also can provide a full DBS Certificate, which is available upon request.
Please note that I am currently working towards my driving licence, so am unable to drive at this time.
My Availability
My availability is as follows:
Mondays and Fridays: I'm unable to work on Mondays or Fridays due to my full-time university schedule, as these days require me to be on campus.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: I have full availability. However, please note that once a month, I won't be available on the Wednesday afternoon/evening because of my commitment to competitive clay-pigeon shooting with the university. Rest assured, I will always provide fair warning and notice for any Wednesday afternoons that I am unable to work.
Weekend Day-Time: While I can occasionally offer weekend day-time availability, I regret that I cannot consistently commit to providing childcare on weekends due to prior commitments.
Weekend Night-Time: I have full availability during weekend nights.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
I do not have fixed fees because I understand that every family's needs and requirements are unique. It wouldn't be fair to set a standard rate when the scope of my services can vary significantly from one family to another. Consequently, the cost of childcare is determined based on various factors, including the family's specific needs, the ages of the children, any additional household tasks, the distance of my commute, and more.
However, I do maintain a minimum fee, which aligns with the UK living wage of £11 per hour. I'm highly flexible and open to tailoring my services to accommodate your family's budget. Please don't hesitate to reach out so we can discuss and negotiate terms that work best for you and your family.
