About Me
We have two sons (3 year old and 18 months old) and a dog. The boys are both in a term time only nursery part time, the older is in Monday/Tuesday/Thursday, the younger doing only Tuesday full day and Thursday half day. Both parents work full time, my husband is in London 5 days a week, I work in London 3 days a week.
We already have a nanny who already works 45 hours per week during termtime, more during holidays. We need further help with housekeeping duties and some assistance with childcare for drop-offs and extra cover using holidays.
My Requirements
We are looking for a housekeeper/nanny to support our family with primarily housekeeping and household organisation duties, assist with nursery drop-offs and help with childcare during nursery holidays. I am expecting this new person to work closely and coordinate with our existing full time nanny who will also stay with us. We live quite rurally, so it is essential that applicants can drive and own a car.
We require an early start (6.45am) on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, and can offer approx 30 hours a week to cover the duties below. Aside from the start time on Tue and Thu, hours and days can be flexible.
The role will mostly focus on household duties, depending on our needs at the time, but in general they involve:
• General household cleaning and tidying
• Laundry and ironing
• Food shopping
• Meal prep and cooking for the whole family
• Errands (parcels, dry cleaning, etc)
• Coordinating workspeople (gardener, repairs etc)
• Feeding the dog
Childcare related duties will include:
- Coming to our house for a 6.45am start to get kids up and ready for nursery (dropoff at 8.30am) on days when both parents work in the office
- 1 full day per week childcare in the home during school holidays
- If available, doing full day childcare in the home, when nanny is off sick or on annual leave
- Occasional evening babysitting (when previously agreed)
