About Me

I love being with people, that is me. I don’t have children of my own, hence I always thought that if I can spend time and surround me with them, I would be more than happy. I believe that is why I feel good being a nanny. I have learnt a lot from them over the years as well as enjoyed being with them and seeing them grow.
Being able to be part of the people that helps them develop as a person is an honour, really.

I have been working as a nanny since I moved to London (2012), I hold a dual Spanish-British citizenship.

I speak Spanish, Catalan (both native) and English. Maybe a little bit of Italian if I am pushed, but saying I am a beginner would be an overstatement, at the moment.

I consider myself to be a reliable, kind, patient and sociable person.

I love the outdoors, all about planning trips and hikes! Discovering the UK! I adore swimming and I would love to get better at roller blading.

I like cooking, it has been several years now that it fascinates me discovering new ingredients and trying new recipes. From time to time, with my friends we go around London trying world cuisines in different restaurants; so that we can experience different cultures (we would love to travel there, but hey!)

I like art in general, especially painting, photography and crafts. And feel happy also to have animals around.

After 5 years, my current family and I, decided that September would be a good month to move on. The lovely child I started looking after when she was 7, is almost a teenager now. I will definitely miss seeing them and their adorable cavapoo every day, but we will be in touch for sure!

My Experience

I am a professional Ofsted-registered nanny with over 14 years of experience caring for children aged 6 months to 13 years old. Always working in close communication with their parents.

I have enjoyed the sole charge of toddlers from 1 year old to the young people at their early teens. Each one of them with their beautiful as well as the challenging moments.
Some of the families had more than one child, so I am used to look after siblings, and some others only one (like the lovely family I am working for currently)
I also have experience nanny sharing of two children a day (I did it for two years combining 4 families with 1 child)
And as a mother help for a short period of time for three different families.

As part of my job, I am used to do all the general nanny duties:
- School runs and accompany them to all the afterschool activities.
- Cooking nutritious meals (coordinated with parents) not only for the children, but for the parents also. I love cooking!
- Assisting with homework, reading, helping with Spanish.
- Bath time and bedtime routines.
- Playing, be it outdoors and in the house. Playing chess, if they are interested! I am not great at it, but I try!
- Organising activities around the area and going outdoors as much as possible; during holiday terms: cycling, museums, parks, picnics, clubs, swimming, etc.
- Helping to keep the house tidy. Light housework related to children and helping to run some family errands, if there is time.
- When required, taking them to doctor and dentist’s appointments.
- Look after animals and plants.

Occasional babysitting/dogsitting.

I would be happy to provide references, if requested.

Aside from that, I volunteered for over a year in a Primary School, assisting teachers in Reception and Year 1. I helped in the general classroom routines as well as during lunch and play times. I also supervised small groups in various workshops and was one of the teachers who planned and developed the Spanish club lessons.

My Qualifications

I studied Pedagogy at university in Spain which included an internship as a teaching assistant.
I have a Masters Degree in Human Resources, although I have no experience on that field.
Outside of childcare, I have also worked in training and consultancy departments, which brought me experience in those fields and also the opportunity to develop my administrative and computing knowledge and skills.

I am registered with Ofsted, which means that I passed the Common Skills course, have a clean DBS and the Paediatric First Aid course (refreshed in April 2025)

Some years ago, I did the beginners British Sign Language course in City Lit, here in London. I enjoyed it a lot, and I consider going to extend my knowledge in this area sometime soon. Very interesting!
