About Me
I have worked in childcare for 5 years now, in varying different roles. I believe the key to caring for children is understanding each child is an individual and one method and approach does not apply to all. I like to work holistically with children and take time to listen and understand their needs. Primarily, ensuring they do have a fun and relaxing time with me, and feel safe and at ease.
My Experience
I am a bookworm and theatre kid at heart! I do love to incorporate those elements into my caring; whether that be through roleplay and dress up or even taking time to inspire imaginative flair in writing our own creative stories. I really feel using covert education tools like these are crucial to developing the child academically. I pride myself in being tidy and well-organised and so, if homework help is something you'd like as part of my service, I am more than happy to pre-plan content to work through with your child. I also love to cook, and can cater to a plethora of diets including vegan cuisine, as I was one for a short while. Additionally, I do hone in on my naturally calm and loving nature to truly nurture and care for your child. I have a lot of patience, and quite frankly think it criminal to raise a voice at children, especially ones that aren't your own. Rather, I take a gentle parenting approach and choose to explain to the child why an action may not be okay. Responding to them in a way a human at their age and understanding would comprehend is key.
My Qualifications
I have 13 GCSEs and 3 A-Levels and am currently studying Law at the University of Liverpool. I also have training and qualifications as an adult carer.
My Availability
as I am at University, I mainly cater towards evening or weekend service predominantly. But, however, there are some weekdays I am available during the day.
