About Me
I’m Bryony, I’m 25 years old and I live in Hunslet, Leeds with my partner and our 3 year old son. I am an SEMH teaching assistant and so work 8-4 on weekdays, I’d be available to help out on an evening and occasional weekends, plus additional days during school holidays :)
My Experience
I spent 7.5 years as a carer for the NHS, supporting adults with learning disabilities. Therefore, have experience with several different disabilities such as cerebral palsy, schizophrenia, autism, epilepsy. I now work as an SEMH teaching assistant in a specialist provision with some of the most vulnerable children in/around Leeds. Due to the nature of my work, I am experienced in ADHD, ASD, FASD, challenging behaviour and restorative working. I am looking for some extra work alongside my career to gain more experience working with children, as someday in the future i would like to be a childminder or nanny. I am extremely patient, understanding and hard working and will always go the extra mile to make people smile! please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions :)
My Qualifications
I have an A-Level qualification in Health and Social care and also NVQ 2 & 3 in adult social care. I am DBS checked and have had specialist training in Makaton, peg training, autism/ASD, first aid training and mental health first aid training.
My Availability
Working full time at the minute, but would be available Monday - Friday evenings & some weekends. Plus additional days during the school holidays.
