My Experience

Dear Families, my name is Lucie (32), I come from the Czech Republic and I spend 2 and half year in UK working as an au-pair.
I was an au-pair to girl twins who were 3 years and 3months when I left (I arrived when they were 9 months old).
And also to 9 year old boy.

I am also proud auntie to 10 ys old niece and 8ys old nephew, before au-pair I spend lot of my time with them, I've learn through them so much.

My English is at B2 level (upper intermediate).
I was an au-pair plus (working 40 hours/week, later more as mother's help). Also at the beginning before family had cleaning lady I did housework.


I fell in love with toddlers :). Love Montessori approach :) Anything about toddler's development :)
Also into baby sign language :) (before covid we attend lessons) which really helped twins to communicate as tha age of 3ys they were still not able to speak.
I am into biligvism - as my hostfamily was english-czech, so I taught girls Czech.
I am into partnership with kids :) not liberal raising, not everything "because I said that" but about partnership.
My 9 ys old au-pair boy taught me lot about football :D I am really open to learn from children :) I like to see the world through their eyes :)


I have first aid training certificate (October 2021).
Driving licence - I am used to driving on left side.
In Czech I studied Social work and did my final exams on Psychology and Pedagogy.
I can play a piano and in 2020 started to play an ukulele :)

I would like to start working as nanny from September 2023.

Currently I am back in my home country Czech Republic. As I still have pre-settled status (till the November 2025) I would like to use this opportunity and get back to UK to that end of the staus.
