About Me
My name is Elaine Cortat and I would like to welcome you to Stay Connected kids
I live with my husband who is called Elizeu and my 2 kids. I moved from Rio to London in May 2013, where We decide to stay and build our lives together.
I have been working with children for over 2 years and have experience with children from 6
months to 5 years old.
I decided to become a childminder as I loved being a mummy but also love teaching and wanted a new challenge. Being a childminder combines a bit of both and the lifestyle will fit in well when we have our own children later in life. Having worked as a nanny with many families, I understand what an emotional roller-coaster it can be finding the right person to look a
your little ones. I have a great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage to teach
them and help them.
I work in a lovely and spacious 2 bedroom house with gardem close to Catford or Hitther Green Station. We have a separate dedicated playroom which is bright, colorful and full of toys!
The children will have use of the following rooms:
• Playroom – The main playroom has all the toys, books, arts and crafts and other excitng
things.
• Outside – The children will have lots of ,me to play outside. We will have lots of outdoor for
educational and entertainment. Museum, Water Parks, Library, Children’s Centre,
Softplay Centre and City Farm being some of my favorite spots for children!
My Experience
I started to work in childcare around 2 years ago because of my kids I was looking for something that I could do while I am with them. So I have been working as Nursery Nurse taking care of kids between 6 months till 5 years, creating some activities like messy play, Learning numbers, and letters, special dates, reading books, inside and outside play, learning to use foods, and cooking experience to have fun.
