About Me
Hello, my name is Jessica! I am currently a 3rd year psychology student at Coventry University. I believe I am a very creative individual, which has allowed me to branch into many things as I am a quick and visual learner. I think this allows me to be very innovative and spontaneous when it comes to caring for children as well as building confidence and trust between the child and myself. My end goal career-wise is to become an educational psychologist, I've always enjoyed being around children and watching them develop.
My Experience
In terms of experience working for an employer, I have had four jobs from the age of 16 to my current age which is 22.
With regards to children, I have multiple years of experience volunteering at a child-minder in London called Little explorers, where children as young as 2 years old and as old as 12 come before and after school. I would give them food, read to them, initiate nap time for the younger children and just keep them engaged. I have also volunteered with special needs children to create fundraisers that are fun and active whilst trying to raise money. I have volunteered at Barking library to read to children and help with homework.
More recently I have just finished a year abroad in Canada at a children's centre called the Learning hub academy, where I was teaching children between the ages of 4 & 14 Maths and English.
My Qualifications
I have received 10 GCSE's grades A-C including Maths and English
I have received my A-levels in Psychology, History and Religious studies grades A, B and C
I am currently in my final at university on track to receive a BSc in Psychology
My Availability
I am completely available on weekends. On weekdays I may possibly be able to do a full day as well as certain hours on some days but I will need to adjust my availability to my university timetable
