About Me
My name is Olivia, I'm a part time/school holidays babysitter/nanny with over 4 years experience caring for and supporting the learning of children aged between 0-11. I would describe myself as a organised, kind and creative young woman. I have relevant childcare qualifications, as well as adult first aid training and level 3 paediatric first aid training. I am fully DBS Checked, can provide professional references, and hold a full driving license and have my own car (I am local to Carbrooke/Watton but can travel anywhere up to a 20 mile radius). I am currently doing a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies with a view to eventually progress to being a EYFS/KS1 Teacher, and this provides me with lots of current knowledge as well as an in-depth understanding of how to care for and support children. I also work part time as a teaching assistant in a primary school during term-time, where I support children of many ages varying from 2 years up to 11, including children with Special Educational Needs. My nursery work prior to this where I was predominantly in the baby room and toddler room, gave me a lot of experience and knowledge when caring for very young children. I am competent, reliable and trustworthy to care for children as well as support their learning in any way I can, I can provide activities for children when babysitting suited to their age and developmental stage.
My Experience
18 months working in a nursery (predominantly in ages 0-4). - This helped me gain knowledge when caring for babies and toddlers including nappy changing and potty training as well as supporting their development in all areas.
3 years working in a primary school (predominantly in EYFS/KS1 classes). - I am still working in a primary school currently in a year 1 class, I have a solid understanding of how to best support children's learning as well as safeguarding.
