About Me
My name is Miss Edwards (Sylvie) and I am a fun, animated and lively teacher but have a firm attitude to progress and have very high expectations of all of my students.
I am a highly experienced senior teacher running my own team of teachers and overseeing the progress of 90 children as Head of Year. I am also Head of English at a large school overseeing the learning of 22 classes.
I have extensive experience tutoring all age groups from Early Years through to year 6 and have been class teacher to years 1, 2, 4 and 5.

I am a fully qualified experienced senior teacher currently working as Head of Year and Head of Department in two curriculum areas (English & Oracy). I offer mainly Reading, Writing and Maths tutoring online and in person, providing bespoke lessons which follow the National Curriculum closely and ensure children are confident in demonstrating all of the skills required to meet the expected standard for their year group and beyond. I also provide preparation for SATS, 11+ and 7+ entrance examinations where required.
My Qualifications
I have a 2:1 degree in Sociology from University of Sheffield
I have an Outstanding PGCE teaching qualification from University of Manchester.
My Availability
After school from 4:30pm and during the summer holidays I will be available Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
