Before my daughter was due to start at the local pre-school, I started looking for after school child care for her (she was, at that stage, too young for after school club). I had heard about Luli and her team through word of mouth and they came highly recommended.

After visiting her setting (beautiful home with a large garden for the children to enjoy) and speaking to Luli I knew it was the right place for my daughter. Luli has such a special way with children, she has a calming influence, is encouraging and really brings out the best in each and every child she cares for. She, and her team love the children like their own and put a lot of effort into organising activities and make the learning fun.

Her setting is so warm and welcoming. My daughter can be a little nervous around people she doesn’t know, so when we had her first settling session I had expected her to want me to stay/some tears if I tried to leave. But Luli and the other children put her right at ease and amazingly she told me she was happy for me to go. No tears at all! And she was so excited to tell me what they got up to when I collected her.

I can’t leave a review without also commenting on the effort Luli put in to continue to engage with the children during lockdown (March to June 2020). We had regular zoom calls, with activities, online stories, singing etc, which my daughter really looked forward to and helped to maintain the close bonds she has built up with Luli and her team. It was truly amazing and a testament to how devoted they are and how much they love the children.

My daughter absolutely loves going to Luli’s after school. So much so, that even though she is now old enough to go to the after school club, she still goes to Lulis as she looks forward to seeing her and spending time with the children there. Thank you Luli and team for everything you do – you are wonderful and we feel v lucky to have found you!
