Apple Tree Childminding was graded as an Outstanding in all aspects by Ofsted in 2012, 2016 and 2022!
We provide childcare in a warm and loving home from home environment.
At Apple Tree Childminding we offer a range of activities to suit children's interests and develop active learning from arts and crafts, music time, games, outdoor play, trips to local parks and attractions such as Norwich Castle.

I can not praise Appletree enough. Our daughter has been attending Appletree for just over a year and she loves the venue and her carers. There are no tears at drop off only smiles The communication is fantastic, the interaction with the children and parents is brilliant. Trips to the library, the castle, reading groups etc. We are expecting our second child and are thrilled that we have secured a place for them too. Appletree are part of our family. (The venue is handy for the city with parking not a problem for drop off and collect.) You really couldn't do better. Thank you Cheryl and Torrie for all you do xx

My daughter has attended this setting for three years. When I drop her off I am always confident that she is going to have a fun and stimulating day in a safe and caring environment. Everything that Cheryl and Torry provide is outstanding- from the focus on safety to the nutritious food and even the trips out such as to the castle and the beach. Cheryl and Torry have also helped to develop my daughter's learning and prepared her for school through encouraging counting, number recognition and helping her to form letters and sounds. A particular strength of this setting is the focus on working together with parents and carers. I always know what my child has had to eat and drink and what activities she has done as everything is recorded daily in a diary which the child brings home. Parents are encouraged to contribute to the diaries and this is a really effective way of communicating between home and the setting. As well as this, Cheryl and Torry are always interested in getting to know not just the child in their care but the family as a whole and this allows them to be sensitive to changing family circumstances and needs. This is a setting which fully deserves its outstanding Ofsted rating !

Overall
I was very nervous about leaving my daughter with a childminder, but in March 2012 she started with Apple Tree childminding at the age of 10 months and has been there ever since.
Cheryl and Tory provide excellent care for the children and ensure they are fully involved in activities in the area from toddler groups to days out in the city or trips to the zoo. The food is varied and nutritious and the children are encouraged to try new things.
My daughter has progressed extremely well and is very sociable, confident and keen to learn - I feel this is owed to her fantastic care from Cheryl and Tory.
I would highly recommend Apple Tree Childminding to any parent considering care for their child - you will receive an exceptional service.

Overall
My daughter has been at Apple Tree since she was a year old. She attends 4 days a week and has formed very strong bonds with both Cheryl and Torry. It's a great setting with a lovely warm atmosphere. It really does feel like a home from home. Cheryl takes the children to activities very regularly and frequently and it's great to know my daughter is not stuck in the house all day! I really appreciate the daily updates I receive in my daughter's 'diary'. I know the meal are nutrional and well balanced, and that play is both fun and educational. I would recommend Apple Tree to anyone looking for a childminder - and in fact I have already recommended them to a friend who is pregnant!

Overall
When I first had to look for a childminder I was very concerned as I didn't know what to expect. I went for a visit at Cheryl's and I was very impressed with the setting she has set up for the children. Since then she has continued to impress me with the high standard of childcare she provides and her fantastic ofsted reports. Both Cheryl and Tori have offered my little girl a home from home experience with a high level of early years education and discipline to mirror exactly what I do with my child at home. My little girl has settled into the environment so quickly and with ease. She offers so much variety, nutritional meals, and keeps me up to date with all of my child's day to day activities whilst she is with her through fantastic communication and online diaries. Apple tree childminding supports and works with the whole family not just the child and I couldn't possibly fault or ask for anymore from them. I am more than pleased with the service and would give them 5 stars :)
