About Me

Hi! I’m a mum of two, one of whom has special needs, and I am currently looking for one of two roles during the school day (term-time): English tutoring and/or a mother’s help (newborn until 1 year of age).

As a parent of a SEN child, I truly understand how unique every child is and how much patience, warmth, and support families sometimes need. I taught English as a Second Language for many years in public, private and academic sectors and hold a B.A. in English Language and Literature, and I love offering fun, confidence-building English tutoring for children of all ages.

I’m currently doing my Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling, guided by a genuine passion for children’s wellbeing, not just how they learn, but how they feel, grow, and make sense of the world.

As mentioned above, in addition to tutoring, I’m also happy to work as a mother’s help with newborns up to one year old. I know how the first year of a baby’s life is absolutely beautiful but can also be tiring, and having someone calm, friendly, and hands-on can make life feel that little bit easier. I’m naturally bubbly, approachable, and nurturing, and I care deeply about creating a safe, comforting environment for both parents and little ones.

I also hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS check and have recently passed a safeguarding exam. And, as a little bonus, I absolutely love cooking and baking, so if an extra pair of hands in the kitchen ever helps, I’m more than happy to jump in!
