About Me
Hello, my name's Caitlin, I'm 23 and have just finished my masters in global health at Brighton and Sussex medical school. Before this I was doing my undergraduate degree at Sussex in International development with Spanish. I currently work tuesday- thursday at a nursery for children aged 3 months to 4 years but would be looking for babysitting/ tutoring/ nanny work either on monday anytime, Friday afternoon or weekends anytime. I could also do evenings after work (I finish at 6). I really enjoy working with children especially playing and coming up with fun activities to do. I play the saxophone and love to crochet so am always keen to do musical or craft based projects/ play. Additionally I love being outside and going for walks or exploring and have recently started indoor climbing. I also speak Spanish (though it has been a wee while!) and speak this to my nephews who are growing up bilingual. I am very patient and would be happy to follow the parenting style that works for you. I am also comfortable with all ages and animals as well! I look forward to hearing from you :)
My Experience
I work at a nursery in Brighton as a one to one support and bank staff and have been in this setting for 2 years. My roles include being responsible for children aged 7 months to 4 years assisting with personal care tasks as well as encouraging them to be and play independent/ly. In addition, since February 2020 I have been the one to one support for a 3 year old in the nursery with autism, I help her to engage with the daily routine at the nursery and play with other children as well as assisting with personal care and encouraging her to use language and sign to communicate. As well as this I have had over 6 years of babysitting experience with ages 2-15 and have worked at a language school for children aged 11 to 17 leading trips and planning activities. I have also worked as a care worker for adults and so have some experience of working with people with physical disabilities and providing their personal care and support.
My Qualifications
I have 6 years babysitting experience and 18 months experience working in a nursery setting. I have a degree in international development with Spanish and a masters in Global Health.
