About Me
I live in Stalybridge with my three children, aged 20, 18 and 12. My home is very clean, welcoming, and fully child-friendly. Children truly enjoy being here and often don’t want to leave at the end of the day, which I feel says a lot about the environment I provide.
I absolutely love my job and caring for children. I consider myself very lucky to do something I genuinely enjoy every day.
My most recent Ofsted inspection was graded “Good”
(Ofsted registered under Tanya Reade).
I offer funded places for 9-month to 4-year-olds and currently provide school runs to Buckton Vale.
At present, I have no full-time vacancies until September 2026, however I do have availability for before and after school care and school holidays.
I have three small, very friendly dogs. They are crated during working hours and only interact with children under close supervision. The children love them. I also have Maine Coon cats, who are incredibly gentle, friendly, and enjoy interacting with the children.
My setting accommodates children from newborn up to 12 years old. I have a large, dedicated space in my home specifically used for childminding activities.
My Experience
I have been registered for around 18 years and have extensive experience working with both children and adults. As a parent myself, caring for children has always been a big part of my life — from babysitting when I left school to caring for family members. I also have experience supporting children with learning difficulties, speech and language delays, and autism, have undertaken SEND training and I’m booked on further SEND training in the future.
My Qualifications
I have my first aid certificate, Introduction to Childcare Practice (Homebased) - CACHE level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Health & Safety, Introduction to SEND and DSL training and will continue to attend regular courses to improve my service.

Tanya has looked after both my boys with additional needs.
My eldest is 10 and she looks after him before and after school. He is non verbal and autistic and she is so understanding and adaptive of his needs. It’s always a worry that he can’t talk but knowing he is laughing and smiling going and leaving is all we want. She helped us when nobody would give us the time of day. Tanya provided a pecs board so my son could communicate and encouraged him to take part in activities with other children. We all feel so welcomed into her home.
My youngest son has a lot of unwanted behaviours but Tanya always knew how to handle this and get the best out of him. She taught him some makaton signs which he still uses now. He thrived while under her care and we only moved him to a nursery setting to make the transition to school a little easier for him.
I’ve been so impressed with the support and care both my boys have received - especially as a SEN mum - I don’t trust anybody but I 100% trust Tanya to do right by my sons.

It’s never an easy decision finding childcare for your child especially as a first time mum. When I met Tanya I instantly knew my child would be cared for, stimulated and have their days filled with love and laughter. My child has been minded for for over a year now and always comes home happy. Often talking about Tanya and their friends. Tanya goes above and beyond to entertain the children daily and their days are often filled with days out which was so important to me when choosing childcare. I’m always made aware of how they’ve been/slept/eaten and sent so many pictures that make me feel a lot less guilty and more involved. I couldn’t be happier with our choice and I know my child is thriving because of the care they receive.

We cannot recommend Tanya highly enough as a childminder. Our eldest daughter started with Tanya in 2020. During this time, Tanya gave her the very best start to her educational journey. Through fun, structured activities, encouragement and endless patience, she helped build our daughter’s confidence, independence and love of learning.
Tanya has every quality you would hope for in a childminder and more. She is kind, nurturing, reliable, professional and incredibly attentive to each child’s individual needs. She creates a safe, stimulating and happy environment where children are supported emotionally, socially and developmentally. Communication is excellent, and we always felt completely reassured knowing our child was in such capable and caring hands.
Tanya is so exceptional that when our second daughter was born in 2024, there was no question about where she would go — we put her name down to start with Tanya in September 2024. From day one, Tanya has showered her with love and care, just as she did with our first child.
Every morning, our daughter runs into Tanya’s with excitement and is always greeted with a friendly, warm smile. Seeing how happy and settled our children were and are speaks volumes. If you know your child is happy, safe and loved, what more could you want?
Tanya is truly one of a kind and we feel incredibly lucky to have had her care for both of our children.
