About Me

I have been working in the childcare sector for nearly 5 years now. I am a mother to a 9month old so I am ideally looking for a job where I can occasionally bring my son along with me (not a need)
I am currently employed however, I am seeking new work. I have great understanding on the EYFS and all the basic needs a child uner the age of 5 needs in order to hit his or her milestones and develop in line with their general health and safety. I have a great understanding around a child’s individual needs. I currently carry out observations and reports on my key children, looking at areas that they are exceeding in and other areas where more work should be put in place to help that child reach developmental goals. I keep in mind that parent partnerships are extremely important within the childcare sector, so I always make sure parents are at ease when they drop of their children by giving them a quick overview of what we will be doing that day. Throughout the day, I set out experiences for the children based on their interests aswell as other things that I know they enjoy playing with. I ensure that the room is tidy and safe from anything that may cause hazards. Other things I carry out during the day include
Head counts (register)
Filling out paper work (garden checks, cleaning checks etc)
Planning
Meal times

I class my self as a confident individual who loves to see others happy by the work I put in. I’m often told how well I work with children as-well as how good I handle working under stress. I very much enjoy working with children as it is something I am very passionate about.

I have full understanding on the EYFS and the developmental milestones children must have.
