About Me
I am currently a dance student living in Chichester, looking for a role as a part time nanny or babysitter. I don't drive, but am very comfortable using public transport wherever necessary/appropriate.
Being from an arts background, a lot of what I do is about utilising imagination, and I hope to bring this into activities wherever possible. I like to be lead somewhat by the kids' own interests and train of thought on that given day - using this as the start for activities (e.g. drawing or building). This might also include going to the park or for a walk if the children are particularly taken by flowers or animals, etc.
Personally, I have always enjoyed school and learning. This is something I hope to be able to bring to children I might be looking after, by motivating them to complete homework tasks, helping to explain concepts etc when necessary.
I enjoy interacting with families, and being part of children's lives as they grow and develop! I truly believe that helping a child to navigate the world as they learn more about it is among one of the most rewarding things a person can do.
My Experience
Between 2013 and 2019 I was a volunteer dance teacher's assistant. This included regular classes on Saturday mornings and some evenings in the week - children were generally aged between 3 and 13. I would help with teaching, often by taking a group of students to the side to go over certain steps, allowing all students to progress at their needed pace.
I have also, at times, babysat my nephew (now 3) for a few hours at a time. His parents use gentle parenting techniques, meaning I am somewhat familiar with some of the principles of this parenting style. Looking after him usually involves doing fun activities and helping him have an enjoyable afternoon, as well as sitting with him while he eats.
During my 2nd and 3rd year of University, I worked as a part time nanny for a 6 year old boy. Sadly, I then had to move out of the area to continue my studies.

My Availability
Due to lessons and extra work, I would be hoping to do 2 or 3 after school/evening shifts a week. I would also be happy to do one weekend shift. Flexibility to arrange this within the times indicated, and more time may become available once I have my timetable :)
