About Me

My teaching methods are focused around building a child’s growth mindset. I believe children with a growth mindset enjoy learning new things and view challenges with more enthusiasm. Growing their problem solving skills, curiosity and confidence along the way. Developing the right mindset early on is crucial for a successful, happy life. When children learn putting forth effort and using the right strategies can help them get better at things, they feel empowered, and try harder. When they know their brains are capable of growing, they are more confident, resilient, and are not afraid to fail!

In order to achieve this, I develop a scheme of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives to suit each of my pupils needs. I facilitate learning by establishing a relationship and gaining a clear understanding of each child's strengths and areas of development. I link pupils' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further, challenging and inspiring pupils to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.

I will assess, record progress and prepare pupils for national tests. I believe it is imperative for me to demonstrate deep subject knowledge and understanding, addressing misconceptions, managing behaviour effectively, setting challenging homework and having high expectations of my pupils.
