About Me
My friend and I are looking for an after school nanny from January 2024, to work Monday to Thursday 15:30-17:30.
My daughter and my friend’s son have just turned 3 and will be attending Rachel McMillan Nursery school in Deptford each day until 3:30. We are looking for an after-school nanny to pick up both kids, bring them back to one of our houses (about 15-20 min walk - we live on the same street) or out to the park until 5:30.
The kids are currently in a nanny share together and get on really well (most of the time!) . They love the outdoors, playgrounds, music, dressing up, role play games, and crafts.

Amy has looked after my daughter and my friend’s son as part of a nanny share for the last couple of years, and I honestly couldn’t have hoped for a better nanny.
She has a very gentle and patient manner and is completely unflappable, which has had a very calming effect on my daughter (who can be quite emotional/explosive at times!).
Amy gets out of the house with the kids every day, taking them to playgrounds, walks along the river, dance classes, museums, soft play, art classes etc. She’s very good at finding one-off events locally too. She genuinely seems to love hanging with the kids and often sends us funny pictures/anecdotes about what they have been up to.
Amy is also brilliant at craft activities, which my daughter loves. I wish I could post pictures of all the things she’s done with the kids in an afternoon, e.g. full-scale cafés out of an empty mattress box, an Elsa castle out of loo rolls and pipe cleaners.
The kids are 3 now so will be going to full time nursery next term and we will all be absolutely gutted to see her go, but know she will make a fabulous nanny for another lucky family.
