My Requirements

We are looking for a flexible nanny / housekeeper with a positive attitude who is able to stay in the role for the long-term and can become a stable part of our family life.

Children -
Our 2 year old has started to attend nursery a few half days a week and our 5 year old attends a local school (15-20 min walk currently).

Hours -
Monday to Friday; 30-50 hours per week; we need flexibility regarding timings

Responsibilities (Nanny & Housekeeping)

Nanny Duties-
Drop offs/pick ups to nursery/school
School holiday and after-school care for older child & looking after 2 year old when she is not at nursery.
Playing with children and organising fun activities (e.g. singing, arts and crafts, cooking, soft play etc.)
Maintaining bed, bath & sleep routine
Potty training
Taking children to local playdates, activities, clubs or to the park
Reading
Teaching children and doing homework / encouraging children academically (e.g. colours, numbers, shapes etc
Taking children to medical / dental appointments if required

Household duties-
Washing, drying, ironing and putting away children’s clothes
Helping with family laundry & ironing (to the extent children are at nursery / school during working hours)
Cooking healthy, nutritious food for the whole family
Shopping for and putting away family food
Cleaning / tidying up children's rooms and play areas
Loading / unloading dishwasher
Other light household duties / helping household organisation - e.g. collecting deliveries / organising tradespeople / collecting dry cleaning
Cleaning up after yourself & children e.g after meal times and generally respecting our home.

Driver preferred but not essential.

Please note that we have a separate cleaner so that is not what we are looking for. However, we do need someone who can help with housekeeping tasks to ease family life, particularly as our daughter is likely to increase the number of hours she is at nursery.
