Hello, I’m Samantha, I’m 26 years old and I live in Hull with my long-term partner and 3-year-old son whom I adore.
I am currently halfway through studying my Primary Teaching degree at Hull University which is something I am extremely passionate about. I have undertaken placements in early years settings and I have most recently completed my teaching placement in a Year 3 and 4 classroom.
I aspire to make a genuine positive contribution towards shaping the children of our future whilst providing them with a safe environment so they can truly flourish. I would follow a parent-led approach, meaning I would respect and follow any boundaries and wishes required by parents. I believe in calm and gentle parenting and focus on the emotional development of a child. My house is a very calm and loving environment. I do not believe children are naughty, they are merely curious and learning.
I take pride in my excellent communication and listening skills - two of the most important qualities needed when working with children. I am extremely patient and would describe myself as an empathetic person. I am enthusiastic, energetic and creative.
My home is smoke-free and pet free. I take pride in the cleanliness and tidiness of my house. Therefore, providing a safe and clean environment for all.
I am seeking temporary employment until the end of September 2023, when I will return full-time to university. Please note I am not a registered childminder - however, I can provide my fully enhanced DBS check and employment records.
My Experience
As previously stated, I am currently studying BA Hons Primary Teaching at Hull University. I have recent volunteering experience at a local HU5 Pre-School and I have completed mandatory primary school classroom placements. I have cared for my own child, my nieces, nephews and my godchildren from as young as birth for the past 6 years. Any child that I would care for, would be treated with the same care, respect and love as my own children.
My Qualifications
First Aid qualified July 2021. Level 3 Access to Higher Education Teaching July 2022. Currently studying BA Hons Primary Teaching Degree at Hull University.
My Availability
I am currently available on Monday - Friday. Please note this is temporary employment I am looking for over the summer holidays and I will have my own child with me whilst caring for yours.
