About Me
I’m currently a Nursery Practitioner, and have been for nearly 4 years. I work in a community-based nursery that places emphasis on nurturing children through nature, play and learning! I am passionate about curating an environment for children in which they feel safe to express themselves wholly, and to learn what it means to be themselves. I enjoy trips to the adventure parks, the playground, the library and soft plays. I emphasise getting involved in the child’s play and experiences, whilst allowing them the independence of trying new things. As a nanny, I would like to encourage children to be imaginative, to play as children should! I am a patient and caring person, with a knack for making kids laugh.
My Experience
I have worked with children for nearly four years- both in nurseries, crèches and primary schools. I have worked with ages from 6 months up to 8 years old, including working with children with additional needs such as down syndrome and autism/adhd. I have adored working with children for a while now and feel I have a good amount of experience in quick-thinking, patience and story-telling! My current nursery I work at I have been apart of for 2 years, and have loved watching the babies I have worked with grow up into toddlers and all the excitement that comes with them becoming little children!
My Qualifications
I am on the DBS update system.
I am First-aid trained.
I am Fire Safety trained.
I am Food safety trained.
My Availability
I am available 8-6 Monday to Friday. Thursday afternoons I volunteer as a counsellor, but can work around these appointments.
