My Summary

My Experience

I am currently a university student, but spent my year out working firstly as a classroom assistant/boarding assistant at Rockport School in Northern Ireland and then as a matron/boarding assistant to girls aged 10-12 at the Dragon School in Oxford. These roles required long hours (in the latter I was working 13 hour days, 6 days a week) and my role included laundry, supervising the children after school, morning wake up and evening bedtime, as well as keeping the boarding house tidy and organised. Both of these jobs gave me valuable experience working with children of all ages, and it was lovely getting to know them, being both a responsible adult and an older sister figure who the girls felt comfortable talking to when a teacher may have seemed too formal. During my time working in Oxford, I also worked part time as a babysitter and so have experience doing this too. I am also DBS checked to work in full time in a boarding school, and have First Aid training through St John's Ambulance.

My Qualifications

9 GCSE qualifications (3A*s, 4As, 2Bs); 3 A-Level qualifications at A or equivalent; Grade 8 ABRSM piano; Grade 8 LAMDA Acting. Currently studying a BA Theology degree at the University of Durham with additional modules in German language.

Available at weekends any time and during the week in the evenings.
