About Me

Hello! I’m Jess — a teacher, tutor, and mum to one gorgeous little boy.

I currently teach part-time in a lovely village primary school, having made the decision to step back from full-time teaching to gain greater flexibility and spend more precious time with my son.

Reading is one of my greatest passions, and in school I’m known for two things: books and chocolate cake — a perfect pairing, in my opinion! Despite being a teacher, I see myself as a lifelong learner and am always eager to discover new ideas and approaches.

Motherhood opened my eyes to the natural awe and wonder of learning. I quickly realised that it wasn’t always about giving answers to the hundreds of daily questions, but about creating the space for curiosity, exploration, and investigation. This shift in perspective encouraged me to rethink more ‘traditional’ educational practices and instead focus on providing a holistic, child-centred learning experience.

As part of this journey, I became a flexischool leader and now serve on the advisory group for the national board of Finding the Flex. I am also a facilitator for the Autistic Girls Network and a trained Muddy Puddle Teacher, as well as a practitioner in Outdoor Play and Learning. I am currently finishing my Coaching qualifications, which will see my business expand to offer Parent Coaching and support.

My Experience

Are you searching for freedom and flexibility in your child’s education?

I help families unlock the joy of learning by creating a personalised approach that works for your child. I’m a qualified primary teacher with a First-Class Honours degree and over 13 years of experience in the classroom and as a tutor. I’ve worked with families all across the globe — supporting children attending prestigious private schools, international schools, and Montessori schools, as well as those navigating the state system.

I’m passionate about supporting children’s mental health and making education accessible and enjoyable for every learner. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked with families through Early Help services, and trained hundreds of teachers in schools as an education consultant for a global tech company operating in over 90 countries.

I offer much more than childcare. As a teacher, mentor, and coach, I bring my understanding of child psychology, development, and connected parenting to every role. My goal is to help your child succeed not only in academics, but also in their well-being and personal development.

Does your child...
Feel unmotivated and uninspired?
Struggle with traditional learning methods?
Lack confidence in their abilities?
Experience anxiety or low self-esteem?

And have you...
Tried everything to engage them?
Felt exhausted by traditional education options?
Experienced the pressure to be the ‘perfect’ parent?
Struggled with the overwhelm of school/SEND jargon?

If this sounds familiar, you care deeply about your child’s education but feel stuck in a system that doesn’t fit your family. Let’s change that. Together, we’ll create an approach where your child doesn’t just engage — they enjoy learning. Because how we feel affects how we learn.

I help children build confidence and become active participants in WHAT and HOW they learn by:
* Listening first
* Pursuing passions
* Embracing creativity
* Nurturing confidence
* Teaching tools to thrive

Watch as their self-esteem grows and their sparkle returns. Every child deserves to feel proud of what they can achieve — and I would love to help your child on that journey.
