My Requirements

Support staff required for an autistic eleven-year-old. The role would be to support him at home, out in the community, working within his EHCP.
? Tuesday- 1230 to 1600 Thursday between 0900 to 1600
? Current Enhanced DBS held
this role is £13.00 per hour on a PAYE basis, school term time only

Role Profile:

One to one support required from an experienced individual confident working with autistic children with a range of complex additional needs - you must have experience in working with autistic children. You will often be supporting the child on a 1-2-1 basis, so the successful candidate has to be comfortable and confident in this capacity.

Being client-led and happy to collaborate with the child always. This ‘trusted friend/mentor’ role is key in holding the relationships with him and other professionals. You will build his confidence, self-awareness and capacities, personally and through professional support, and educationally.

Working within the team providing education and therapy, providing consistency. You must build strong relationships with other professionals, being required to communicate with this wider network to meet his needs.

Good written and spoken English - with the ability to adapt to autistic styles of communication and social interaction easily.

The successful candidate must learn the child’s mood changes, triggers and support strategies and be able to respond effectively.

The ideal person would be flexible, well organised and reliable.

Good level of personal fitness and stamina - our bright, energetic, creative client enjoys physical activities!

It is essential that applicants hold a full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes with appropriate business insurance.
