About Me

My name is Victoria and I live in a quiet rural village called Weir. I am an experienced Primary Teacher and am currently mid-registration as a Childminder, hoping to make a difference to young minds and hearts.

I have a 4-bedroom house, with three reception rooms with a great-sized private garden for lots of fun outdoor play, which is securely fenced and gated. I have three children, aged 10, 11 and 14 with two family dogs called Harper (mummy) and Lottie (daughter). They are used to children handling them and love a cuddle.

On my doorstep is a safe woodland area, nature walks and a lovely park that provides a secure, enclosed play area (perfect for picnics!). In addition, there are plenty of other beautiful places to visit in the Valley only a short drive away.

My passion is to teach children the foundations and life skills they need to thrive and succeed and know that I am making a difference. I love to share their journey and make learning fun and engaging. I can offer children high-quality education and care, whilst using my teaching skills to assess, track and evidence each child’s journey. Each child will have their own personalised learning journey for that special keep-sake. They will have access to exciting continuous provision allowing them to explore their individualism, creativity and personalities through play. All assessments that are carried out follow the Development Matters/EYFS/Primary scheme, focusing on children’s fine/gross motor skills, Personal, Social, Health & Emotional development and areas of learning suited to each individual.

I believe in children learning to effectively communicate and socialise, allowing for independence, teamwork and problem-solving. If you currently attend a playgroup, please let me know and I will do my best to ensure we go along so your child can see their friends and maintain their normal routine whilst they are in my care.

My Experience

I am a parent myself and have worked with children ages 5-11 in Primary Schools. I also have experience of working within a Childminding environment. I have ample experience working with children of all abilities and ages therefore providing me with full confidence in meeting each child’s needs at differing levels, including behavioral and SEND.
